@newt @scuti Hey that's my phone! Don't forget to drop it and crack the screen too.
@echo @newt Your phone acts like my Matrix client.
@scuti @newt I only use foid software. My phone works fine for about five minutes, then it stops, and it refuses to tell me why.
@newt @scuti ok this is basically my current phone's exact description
@newt
"use only f-droid software"
this is exactly how I use my phone.
@scuti make your phone experience deliberately worse. Install some buggy ROM, use only f-droid software, etc. Also, buy a smaller phone with a worse screen. You won't be staring at it for hours this way.
I want to hang out with my friends today, but I have to text them.
I long held the power button to turn it off, but apparently doing that opens the Gemini app, except I don't have a Google Account, so all I get is a Sign In screen.
this is the worst update.
literal brainrot effect. If I have a blank canvas I won't draw anything either.
my life was 1000x better when I got up after I woke up to play video games. Not spend Saturday morning scrolling on a phone.
my life is worse with a smartphone.
I can't imagine paying for a smartphone.
@mischievoustomato Reading text at less than arms length distance gives me eye strain. if it hurts, I lay down and end up napping.
@scuti i dont have those at all, and i don't ever oversleep unless i was VERY tired beforehand
Keeping a phone around is the least healthy thing I have done for myself lately (eye strain, fatigue, oversleeping).
